It’s back to school day here in Atlanta. Here’s Hailey getting ready to go to pre-K and the Romulan to her new classroom.

When I asked Hailey about her first day of school she said, “It was awesome.” What a pre-k thing to say.

For Hailey’s fourth birthday, Grandpa Pete wrote her a special song. She can pretty much sing it by heart now. She would have listened to it 30 times in a row tonight if I hadn’t insisted on mixing it in with some of my favorites…can you say “All the Single Ladies?”

Hailey is taking Spanish lessons one day a week at school. So far she knows how to count in Spanish, which she knew how to do before she started. Also, she knows that tortuga means turtle. Fabulous. What a nice investment that was in her future.

Hailey fell into the bathtub with her clothes on this evening. It was so funny. Of course, she wasn’t sure whether or not to laugh or cry.

We decided to start Hailey in private swim lessons this summer because we know she can swim, but she’s too afraid to try it. We started yesterday, and she has four lessons this week. Mommy: No it’s not. Then what would we eat?
Hailey: Marshmallows

It’s hard for me to watch this, and then even consider moving to the ‘burbs where my office is located. I do love our ‘hood, but the commute is a bit much. Only solution = New Job and New House in the Same Hood!
